Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Maestrly desktop application and website ("Service"), operated independently from Brazil ("Maestrly", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Maestrly is

Maestrly is a desktop application that orchestrates third-party AI coding command-line tools that you run on your own machine. Maestrly is an orchestration and developer-productivity tool — it is not itself an AI model or AI content generator.

2. Bring your own AI services

Maestrly does not include or resell access to underlying AI services. You must provide your own subscriptions or credentials with the respective providers. Your use of those third-party services is governed by their terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, pricing, output or actions.

3. Local execution

The AI command-line tools and their credentials run locally on your machine. Your code, prompts and agent outputs are processed locally and are not sent to our servers. Cloud processing is limited to account, legal, security and optional telemetry data described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Accounts

You sign in with Google or GitHub. You are responsible for your account and all activity under it, and for keeping your devices and credentials secure. You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a contract.

5. Free access and voluntary contributions

  • Maestrly is currently available free of charge, without a paid tier or paywall.
  • You may make an optional one-time or monthly contribution through Stripe. A contribution is voluntary and does not purchase product access, unlock features, create perks or entitle you to priority support.
  • Monthly contributions recur until canceled. You can manage or cancel future contributions yourself through the Stripe Customer Portal linked from our contribution page.
  • Contributions are not represented as charitable or tax-deductible donations. You are responsible for checking any tax treatment that may apply to you.
  • If we introduce a paid product or materially change this model in the future, we will provide separate notice. We will not automatically convert a contribution into a product subscription.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including: violating any law; infringing others' rights; attempting to disrupt, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorized access to the Service; or using it to build a directly competing product. You are responsible for reviewing and approving actions that AI agents take on your behalf.

7. Intellectual property

Maestrly and its branding are owned by us. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service under these Terms. Your code and content remain yours.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that AI outputs or agent actions will be accurate, complete, safe or suitable for any purpose. You are responsible for reviewing outputs and for code committed, executed or deployed.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or revenue. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid specifically for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Voluntary contributions do not purchase the Service and are not a fee for access.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or for security or legal reasons. You can request export or deletion of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date and, where appropriate, communicated through the Service.

12. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence. Questions: hello@maestrly.com.
